Sports Rehabilitation

A sportsperson suffering from some kind of injury not only has to recover normal function, but needs to return to an activity that is very physically demanding. That's why rehabilitation continues until the usual physical exertions of the specific sport can be achieved. If possible, rehabilitation should take place whilst the patient is still training to some extent in order to prevent a loss of cardiovascular and resistance ability.  That way, the patient will be able to return to his/her sport more quickly and the transition will prove less strenuous.
